Practical questions
What resolution does a 8 m sphere give at P5?
5,027 × 2,514 px, about 12,637,878 pixels in total. The horizontal count is the circumference (25.13 m) divided by 5 mm; the vertical count is half that, because a sphere maps as a 2:1 equirectangular image.
How much does a 8 m LED sphere weigh?
Around 2.6 t for the screen and shell together, assuming 13 kg per m² of surface. That is an estimate for early structural conversations — the final figure comes from the shell design and we issue it with the drawing set.
Can it be built in a different diameter?
Yes. Anything from 0.8 m to 20 m is quoted from a drawing; the sizes on this page are the ones with existing tooling, which is why they are cheaper and faster. An odd diameter means a new mould set, and that shows up as a separate line in the quotation.
