What you get with this model

  • Every cabinet is cut for the 1,000 mm shell — the latitude bands, the truncations at top and bottom and the cable exits are tooled for this one diameter
  • 1,523,385 pixels run as a single 2:1 canvas, so a stock equirectangular video maps without re-cutting
  • Front-service modules on magnetic carriers: one dead module comes off with a suction tool, no need to open the shell or hire a lift
  • Load ring, three-point rigging and a stamped connection detail are included in the drawing package
  • Max draw is 2.5 kW at 800 W/m² — we size the distribution board and the cable runs from this figure, not from a rule of thumb

Small enough to sit on a reception desk or a shop counter, and the cheapest way to show a client what a pixel-mapped sphere actually looks like in a room. At P2 the great circle only carries 1,570 px, so keep artwork simple and high-contrast.

FAQ

Practical questions

What resolution does a 1 m sphere give at P1.8?
1,745 × 873 px, about 1,523,385 pixels in total. The horizontal count is the circumference (3.14 m) divided by 1.8 mm; the vertical count is half that, because a sphere maps as a 2:1 equirectangular image.
How much does a 1 m LED sphere weigh?
Around 41 kg for the screen and shell together, assuming 13 kg per m² of surface. That is an estimate for early structural conversations — the final figure comes from the shell design and we issue it with the drawing set.
Can it be built in a different diameter?
Yes. Anything from 0.8 m to 20 m is quoted from a drawing; the sizes on this page are the ones with existing tooling, which is why they are cheaper and faster. An odd diameter means a new mould set, and that shows up as a separate line in the quotation.
