Outdoor is where shaped LED gets genuinely difficult. A curved cabinet has to shed water, a shaped screen has to shed wind, and both have to stay sealed after five years of thermal cycling. We build outdoor shapes with die-cast aluminium cabinets, silicone gaskets and a 5,000–8,000 nit LED that stays legible in direct sun.
Wind load is the part clients underestimate. A 6 m sculptural screen on a plaza can carry more load than a billboard of the same area, because the shape catches air differently. Our engineers return a load calculation with the quotation, not after the order.
Standard protection is IP65 front and back with a UV-stable mask. For coastal sites we add a conformal coating on the driver ICs and specify 316 stainless fasteners, which is the difference between a screen that lasts eight years and one that lasts three.

Brightness is not the same as sunlight readability
Two outdoor screens at 6,000 nits can look completely different at noon, because readability comes from contrast, black level and mask design as much as raw nits. A shaped screen also catches sun at angles a flat wall never does, so the mask geometry has to be chosen per face rather than per product.
